I’m thinking will Bali be a good place for Christmas and New Year Eve or will it be INSANE prices? Its a difficult one to judge.
It’s one of those places that I REALLY want to visit, not just because the party is meant to be awesome, not only that BUT it looks immense – paradise! Isn’t that what we are all looking for? Somewhere to make you happy, find happiness, whatever it is.
Bali is one of those islands that’s part of Indonesia, a party or paradise depending what you’re looking for…I for one can’t wait to test out the party! I think best bet would be to ask around on my travels to see what others think, either way, if it is Bali at Christmas I’ll need to book sooner than later! Surely, it’s going to be a sell out or you may get stuck with a hole in a wall!
I’ve visited the mainland of Indonesia last year, visiting a friend in the capital Jakarta, one hell of an interesting place! Don’t expect to walk anywhere because you will see ZERO sidewalks, the taxi’s are so damn cheap mind that you may as well jump in and sit in mega traffic and become a local haha
The more I look at Indonesia the ever so more interesting places I come across. One of them, the island called Java has caught my eye as it seems to be even more of a paradise! Indonesia is pretty spesh.
One of the major cities, Yogyakarta is one of those places that you go for a honeymoon, clearly not my kind of place just yet but amazing never the less. Just look at one of the awesome resorts I came across from Traveloka, Queen of The South Resort, right on the beach is just amazing to look at! Difficult challenge to find somewhere better on planet Earth!
After checking out Yogyakarta on Wikipedia, a couple of things stood out right away, two been the awesome temples.
“Because of its proximity to the Borobudur and Prambana temples, and because of the Javanese court Kraton culture of Kraton Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta has become an important tourist destination in Indonesia. Most tourists come to Yogyakarta as an accommodation base to visit Borobudur and Prambanan. At tourist sites, you may meet high school students who look forward to have a conversation in English with you to polish their language skills.”
Lets take a look and see what you think of these bad boys!
Borobudur – the worlds largest Buddiest Temple! WOW
Prambana – Largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia & one of the biggest in Southeast Asia! Sweet!
I really need to visit these one day, I don’t think I’ll be able to get round to it on this trip but one day, these beasts of temples will be seen by my eyes and plenty, and I mean plenty of snaps will be taken!!
Let us know below your thoughts on Bali for Christmas & NYE, and if you’ve been to see the awesome temples!
