Summary of blog post
This is a quick review of the hostel “Bodega” where I stayed on 11th October 2016 in Phuket, Thailand.
Real good location as its right in the centre of the town (location Patong Beach). Easy access to restaurants and bars, and the main party road Bangla “Walking Street” Road!
Opted to stay in the largest room possible, ironically the exact same room (right up on the 3rd floor) and same beds where stayed in 2015! Comfy beds for South East Asia and clean dorm room which had a balcony and two of the classic shower / toilet combos!
Hostel wasn’t all that busy so only a couple of others in the dorm which made it better than you’d expect for a 10 bed dorm!
Headed over to Bangla Road and made some videos of the carnage (Head over to my instagram for sneaky previews of the vids!) You can get everything here! We opted for the rock bar “Rock City” that had a live band blasting out hits from the likes of AC DC. Smashing down the beers and 2 for 1 cocktails for happy hour we were more than pleased!
We then went to explore the crazyness and before we knew it sat at a bar playing connect 4! Thats the thing with Phuket and Thailand you just never know what might happen!
Bodega Hostel Phuket ticks all the right boxes in my book and that was the reason why opted to stay there again this time round!
Well worth checking the hostel out, you have the choice to book through HostelWorld (the app is far the easiest and quickest way to book hostels!) or through the hostel’s website! Worth checking out if you’re traveling to Phuket!
Always check the time zones!
We thought from UK we went back in time however its +7 hours! Meaning we booked the night before we actually arrived! In the end this meant we had to pay for two nights, and stay only one, and not been the cheapest place to stay in Phuket (but for a good reason!) this wasn’t an awesome start to the trip! But hey it wasn’t the hostels fault but i would have enjoyed a “sorry you booked the wrong night” freebie shot or something as we’d traveled a hell of a long way!
Final Verdict: 4 out of 5!
Any questions or comments if you’ve stayed before or recommend anywhere else to stay in Phuket hit up the comments section below, I personally read each one!
